Pioneer in content curation software, acquired and integrated into larger content marketing platforms
Curata was a content marketing software platform founded in 2007 that specialized in content curation and content marketing solutions. The platform helped B2B marketers discover, organize, and share relevant third-party content alongside original content to engage audiences and establish thought leadership. Curata's software used machine learning algorithms to help marketers find and curate content from across the web, then publish it through various channels including blogs, email newsletters, and social media. In 2017, Curata was acquired by Uberflip, a Canadian content experience platform. The acquisition combined Curata's content curation capabilities with Uberflip's content experience and personalization technology. Following the acquisition, the Curata brand was gradually integrated into Uberflip's product suite. Uberflip itself was later acquired by PathFactory in 2021, further consolidating the content marketing technology space. While Curata pioneered content curation as a marketing discipline, it no longer operates as an independent entity.
