Datapine was a Berlin-based business intelligence and data analytics company that provided self-service BI tools designed to make data analysis accessible to non-technical business users. The platform offered interactive dashboards, data visualization, and reporting capabilities that allowed organizations to connect multiple data sources, analyze trends, and share insights across teams without requiring deep technical expertise. Datapine positioned itself as an intuitive, user-friendly alternative to more complex enterprise BI solutions, targeting small to mid-market businesses as well as departments within larger enterprises. Founded in 2012, Datapine built a reputation for its clean interface, drag-and-drop dashboard builder, and broad data connectivity options spanning databases, cloud services, and popular business applications. The platform supported a range of use cases including sales analytics, marketing performance tracking, financial reporting, and operational KPI monitoring. Its predictive analytics features and SQL mode for advanced users helped differentiate it in a competitive market alongside tools like Tableau, Power BI, and Looker. In 2019, Datapine was acquired by RIB Software, a German construction and engineering software company, which sought to integrate advanced analytics capabilities into its enterprise software offerings. Following the acquisition, Datapine's brand and platform were absorbed into RIB Software's product ecosystem. RIB Software itself was subsequently acquired by Schneider Electric in 2020, further embedding Datapine's technology within a larger industrial software portfolio. The Datapine brand largely ceased to operate as a distinct market-facing entity following these transitions.
