Three Advertising Industry Myths The Market Has Already Debunked

Every industry develops narratives that begin as useful simplifications and eventually become accepted truths. Advertising is no different. But the problem is that many of these narratives survive long after the market has stopped validating them.  The industry says streaming television is becoming a performance channel, then acts surprised when television behaves like television and […] The post Three Advertising Industry Myths The Market Has Already Debunked appeared first on AdExchanger.

How HelloFresh Brought AI Creative To Times Square

Have you ever walked through Times Square and thought, Wouldn’t it be cool if these giant billboard ads could be produced by AI? This doesn’t seem like a universal experience. But for CDP Hightouch, apparently, this question was top of mind. How do you sell perfume to men? Jean Paul Gaultier is doing it on Twitch.

As the "enfant terrible" of haute couture, Jean Paul Gaultier has given us Madonna's cone bra, the costumes from The Fifth Element, and several other out-there designs. In 2026, Gaultier is once again trying something new: To promote a perfume called Le Male Elixir, Gaultier has brought his fragrance to video game streams on Twitch. The center of Gaultier's Twitch-set activation is Le Male Island, a custom-built location within the upcoming game Let's Build A Dungeon. In tandem with the game's developer, Springloaded Games, Gaultier and the Twitch Brand Partnership Studio built a seafaring world inspired by Le Male Elixir's nautical notes. Top 50 Most Viewed YouTube Channels Worldwide • Week Of 07/26/2026

As World Cup fever subsides on YouTube, viewership is down overall in the Global Top 50. The #1 channel on YouTube during the last full week of July was MrBeast, who hauled in 870.5 million weekly views. It was also his wedding week, so I'd say it was a pretty good time overall for Jimmy Donaldson. All of the channels in the Global Top 50 got at least 365 million views during the week that was. The last of those 50 chart entrants is a relatively new channel, but its hosts have some of the strongest pedigrees on the family-friendly side of YouTube. Visit Tubefilter for more great stories.

Top 50 Most Subscribed YouTube Channels Worldwide • Week Of 07/26/2026

During the last full week of July, four YouTube channels gained at least one million subscribers. The creator leading the pack is Zhong, who added 1.1 million weekly subs to bring his total up to 79.5 million subscribers. As large as the number is, the other three channels in this week's million-sub club all have subscriber counts in nine-digit territory. Other channels in the Global Sub Top 50 don't have anywhere near 100 million subscribers -- at least not yet. But as content becomes a platform-agnostic game, stars from other communities are starting to gain footholds on YouTube. Visit Tubefilter for more great stories.
