Comcast completes Versant spin-off
Comcast completed the tax-free spin-off of Versant Media Group on January 2, 2026, and Versant's shares began regular-way trading on Nasdaq (VSNT) on January 5. Comcast shareholders received one Versant share for every 25 Comcast shares held on the December 16, 2025 record date. Versant took the USA Network, CNBC, MS NOW, Golf Channel, E!, Syfy and Oxygen cable networks and the Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass and SportsEngine digital platforms. Mark Lazarus, previously chairman of NBCUniversal Media Group, is its CEO. NBCUniversal sells Versant's ad inventory under the One Platform banner for the 2026 and 2027 upfront cycles.
