Exponea is a customer data platform that was founded in 2015 in Slovakia and focused on helping e-commerce and retail businesses deliver personalized customer experiences across multiple channels. The platform combined customer data unification, analytics, and marketing automation to enable real-time personalization at scale. In July 2020, Exponea was acquired by Bloomreach, a digital experience platform company, and was integrated into Bloomreach's product suite as Bloomreach Engagement. Today, the technology continues to operate as a core component of Bloomreach's commerce experience cloud, serving mid-market and enterprise customers primarily in the e-commerce, retail, and travel sectors. As part of Bloomreach, the former Exponea platform provides the engagement and personalization layer that works alongside Bloomreach's content management and search capabilities. The acquisition strengthened Bloomreach's position in the personalized marketing space by adding sophisticated CDP capabilities, AI-driven recommendations, and advanced marketing automation features. The combined offering serves customers across Europe, North America, and Asia-Pacific, with particular strength in the European market where Exponea had established a strong presence.
