Let’s go to the highlight reel: Twitch is helping creators turn their Clips into stream “recaps”

Watching Twitch streams can be great fun, but who has the time to devote multiple hours to live content? Many streamers struggle to reach the majority of their fans during their broadcasts, but Twitch is developing a solution to that problem. A planned Recaps Feed will offer short-form highlight reels derived from long-form streams. Twitch CEO Dan Clancy discussed the Recaps Feed during an interview with GamesBeat at the 2026 Tokyo Game Show. Clancy explained that creators will get to choose between five and eight clips, which will be combined to create a sequential summary that will be distributed on a dedicated feed.
