Bill Owens, former executive producer of 60 Minutes, is now joining Newpress, a media startup that has just raised $12 million in a funding round led by Laurene Powell obs’ Emerson Collective, as EP, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The funding round also includes esse Angelo, CEO of Checker Media; David Leavy, former COO of CNN Worldwide; and Brent Montgomery, CEO of Wheelhouse Entertainment.
